What attracted you to Aston Business School and your MSc course?

I studied my undergraduate degree at Aston, so I already knew that the quality of teaching is excellent. Having close links with business means that academics can offer practical advice, that’s really valuable to me. The career support at Aston also stands out because they can offer practical advice about what I can do to improve my prospects.

What is your favourite experience at Aston so far?

I enjoyed learning about real life situations in my lectures. I think this has been very valuable in giving me real insight and advice I can take into my future career.

One of the benefits of studying at Aston is that there is support to find an internship as part of your studies. I was able to secure a Finance Internship position at Carl Zeiss Vision. Over that five month period I learnt a lot about financial practices while I was writing my dissertation. Being able to apply learnings from my studies was invaluable.

What are your future plans and how will your MSc help you achieve them?

There is a big focus on networking at Aston with many events giving the opportunity to speak to top employers. Having opportunities like this has helped me to make good connections which I hope will help me secure a job after my masters.
