Can you talk a little bit about yourself and your background?

I have over 15 years of experience providing effectual technical engineering solutions and leading daily operations, including product automation, instrumentation, and systems employment. I had an educational background in Engineering after studying in the United Kingdom. I emigrated to Canada to further develop my skills and experience in field engineering operations within oil and energy, medical and pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and chemical domains. One of my most significant industry achievements includes managing and executing international project work scopes in Russia, Kazakhstan, Thailand, Vietnam, the USA, and Canada.

What prompted you to pursue an online program with Aston University? Specifically, why was online appealing to you?

I decided to pursue an online program with Aston University as it would allow me to be immersed in world-class online platforms and surrounded by experts who share their knowledge and expertise through collaboration. The program design is flexible and responsive with online delivery, ensuring students are constantly developing and improving. All students have a dedicated mentor, and the program is delivered in a cohort format, enabling deep learning and interaction amongst the group.

If you were giving someone who was considering an online course advice, what would it be?

The most important thing you can do to succeed in the program is to show up and engage. Learning in the MBA program is a process of continuous discovery and, as such, requires constant effort and dedication. The best method is to attend webinars ready to learn, ask questions, and be open and honest about your goals and expectations. Cohorts are there to lend a hand when you need them and will cheer you on when you make significant milestones. The Aston Online MBA is a community that will help you grow into a better leader. Part of the learning is the experience, and the other is the education.
